Good Day to you lil Sweets! Ahhh, how I love Thursdays - It's my favorite night on TV - it's practically Friday - and it just kinda feels GOOD, right?!

Well - to make today even BETTER ... we've got a special lady on the blog sharing her amazingly creative cards with us -

Let's dive right in!

Meet Laura Williams!

Here is a little about Laura in her own words.

Hi! My name is Laura Williams, and  I'm excited to spend some time here at Sweet Stamp Shop!  I love polka-dots, graphic patterns, and anything black and white (especially with a pop of bright color!)  I started stamping as a teenager, and I've had inky fingers ever since. I'm a mom of two boys, and wife to an incredibly patient and fun-loving husband (who wins big points for putting up with my paper-crafting messes!)  You can find my blog at www.lauralooloo.blogspot.com.

Laura just has a special knack for making the most unique cards using a combination of stamp sets (often times, I see her cards and I hit my forehead thinking, WHY didn't I think of that!?!? - Genius!!)

I love the texture she got with this stamp - Just amazing... it looks like the stamp is in reverse... but, all she did was stamp the burlap background with black in on a brown sheet of paper - cut it out and adhere it... created a really awesome look, didn't it!?!

Ok - this card blew my mind - truly! Here's why... It's simple, but so well put together! What I really LOVE about this card is ANYONE can take a glance at this and recreate it .... and have an AMAZING card! It's beautiful AND doable! I love that! Laura, she's just so darn good! (you can tell I have a design crush on Laura!)

Loving the color combination - red and black... so classic. I especially like the gems... but, I'm a bit of a glitter girl so anything sparkly is right up my alley!

How fun is this card? She used just the arrow in the 'View Finder' set to create the coolest background.Wowie! How many little 'extra' stamps that you have would make great backgrounds... wheels are turning!

Lastly - this card is just so C-U-T-E

Yep - she grabbed the 'Gnomies' set and made the cutest holiday card (or it doesn't HAVE to be holiday... but, I think it works!) I didn't even think of the banner stamp as a 'North Pole' sort of stamp ---- See, Laura is genius!

We can't say enough about Laura (and she's like the sweetest little gal too!) --- Please take a moment and say hello to Laura on her blog HERE.

We'll see you back here tomorrow with another guest designer - and she's just as SWEET as Laura, promise!

Happy Thursday!
N.

-- And, for those of you addicted to Vampire Diaries (like my husband and I) --- Happy Vampire Diaries night!! Hooray!! --- I also really like Person of Interest and Scandal... and Grey's too! lol ... you see that my DVR works over time on Thursdays!

Double Bright! Spotlight!

Happy Wednesday peps! We've been hard at work on the new shop - it's not finished yet - but feel free to go take a peek! HERE

Today we're featuring two lovely ladies - First up is Jacquie Peifer

Here is a little about Jacquie

Hi!  My name is Jacquie Peifer, or as most of you probably know me Javablustamper!  I LOVE making new friends, creating stamping projects, and sharing with others!!  I am a 41 year old mother of 3 AWESOME kids and 3 COOL cats!  I have been with my VERY supportive hubby for ALMOST 19yrs!  As you can see I am a VERY outgoing and enthusiastic kind of girl!  Life is TOO short to be otherwise!!  I started my creative journey, as a SU demonstrator and have GROWN from there. I have been a part of the stamping world, for about 19 years or so.  Although I am no longer a SU Demo, I KNOW I have come a LONG way from that first SU party!!  Haha!  Heck, I have come a LONG way from my Copic Cert class!!    I have been Copic Certified for  several years now and LOVE it!!
I teach an occasional class or two, share creations on my blog, assist my daughter's class with crafting activities,  and help my friends  with their love of crafting.  What fun is stamping, if you can't SHARE it!!   I TRULY enjoy being  part of a team and giving 110% to help others!  That is just me!  As far as my style, I am a "matchy-matchy" girl at heart, who LOVES to add just the right touches to a creation! I am SO excited to be designing for Sweet Stamp Shop this month!  I just LOVE Nicole and the rest of the girls!  I LOVE Sweet Stamp Shop stamps too and  look forward to sharing with all of you!

Ready to see the creations that Jacquie made for us?!

Next up is Emily Lanham - you probably recgonize her name becuase we were lucky to have her as our design team coordinator for 2012! She's been a doll in every way and since we've changed up our design team model (to guest designers) we're missing our Emily! I know she'll keep the Sweet Shop posted on all things Emily and you'll see lots of her in the coming months! She's so talented!

Here is a little about Emily - from Emily!

I am a stay at home mommy and wife and I reside in southern Ohio. I have been crafting for as long as I can remember, but I really got into the hobby (and collecting of all things crafty) about 7 years ago. Since then, I have come a long way as far as my creative ability goes. I've also turned my hobby into a career that I am able to do from the luxury of my own home and in my pj's if I want. There aren't too many that can say that they wake up every morning and go to work and absolutely 100% love what they do. I can. I am truly blessed with the "career" and many friends that I have acquired just by starting a mere hobby in the crafting industry. With crafting, the possibilities are endless, every day I find a new reason to love what I do, and that's how I know that I've found my niche in life.

Emily created with

Isn't her altered pieces amazing! Love all the bright beautiful color - I know she's going to tell you more about it on her blog - so you'll wanna stop in HERE.

Thanks ladies - great work all around! We hope you loved the inspiration from today and that you come back and see the guest designer for tomorrow - she's pretty AHH-mazing!

See you tomorrow!
Happy Crafting,
N.

Good Things Happening - Sweet Spotlight

It's Tuesday morning and here at the sweet shop - it's kind-of a big day. (More on a personal note) - Jacob, Mr. Sweet, is taking his final CPA test this morning. Loredana (Sister-in-Law Sweet) is being sworn in as a US citizen this morning. And, finally we have a sweet friend who is having surgery this morning to remove a cancerous tumor. So, hopefully - the rule, good things happen in three, applies today!

Having Amy Tsuruta on the blog today is our BONUS!!

Let me introduce you to Amy, although - I'm sure you know her! (she's so amazing!)

Hi!  My name is Amy of Tsuruta Designs and I'm thrilled to be a Sweet Stamp Shop Guestie!  I live in the gorgeous state of Washington and have 2 beautiful kids.  I'm engaged to thee greatest guy ever that makes me laugh and fully supports my paper crafting.

Amy worked with two of our new stamp sets -

Amy - really did such a great job taking these stamps and making them all her own!

I love how she used the let's chat stamp 3x - with the rotary dial! The design is perfect - actually, perfectly pink!

Isn't this little gift box so darn sweet - especially with the chevron stamp in the background. I think it really adds the perfect texture.

Look how she embossed the dial - it's so bright and at the same time, a really great masculine card. - General sets like this are always great for either gender, dontcha think?

Check out this last card (we showed off on the release) but, I love the distressed chevron on this card - it almost looks like a rub-on doesn't it? Great texture. I really like how it's implying texture - like embossing. But, way easier because it's a stamp!!

Big hugs to Amy - take a moment to visit her blog and say hello! HERE

We'll be back here tomorrow with two more lovely designers - altered art, here we come!

Happy Tuesday and pray that our good news is coming in 'threes' today!
Hugs,
N.

Triple Threat! Sweet Spotlights

Yawn - It's Monday. I have a coffee in one hand and a big morning smile on my face, it's Monday morning - and I'm going to need both! --- Yawn.

How was everyone's weekend?! We were pretty busy around the Sweet Shop - Jacob (Mr. Sweet) spent a good part of the weekend at work (joys of being a tax accountant) and I (Nicole) spent a good part of the weekend in the Sweet Shop (joys of owning a business) :) But, we still managed to go out for dinner on Saturday and we had a lovely time. Yesterday, I was with it enough to go to the gym and come home and make dinner! It was so nice!

Anyway! You're here to get inspired by our lovely guest designers aren't you?!

We have three VERY talented ladies ready to show their stuff.

First up is Lesley Croghan (our neighbor up North)

Here is a little about Lesley in her own words -

I recently found Sweet Stamps while on vacation in San Diego and I LOVE them! Thank you to Nicole for inviting me to design for you this month!!

Lesley worked with one of my favorite new sets

And - she reached for an older set (but a good one!)

Isn't her stamping so cute - with all those colors and the cards are embossed so nicely! I'm swooning!

I adore crafting everyday, I simply can't get enough of it! When I'm not crafting, I'm teaching middle school students creative genius in ceramics and introductory art. My husband and I live with our little bird, Mr. Green in sunny California, where I have over-taken the "office" with all things creative! I adore vintage items, turn-of-the-century design and have a profound love affair with modern design of the early 20th century. My background and education in art history & design mix together with my affinity for vintage goods to create a happy hybrid that shows through in my work.
