Sweet November Guest Designers!

We have a couple of super sweet guest designers today to end the month of November!

First up...

Veronica Johnson

My name is Veronica Johnson and I have been very blessed to be married to a wonderful man - Kerry, and be a mother to a beautiful and very kind daughter - Vanessa. I have been crafting it seems forever. My mom taught my sisters and I to sew, embroidery, knit, cross stitch - really anything to do with our hands. I have been creating and drawing ever since I can remember. I love anything artsy and have taught scrap book and stamping classes at scrapbook stores and conventions and loved every minute of it. I enjoy bringing new techniques and my love of scrapbooking and card making to inspire as many crafters as I can.

Don't forget to stop by and say hello to Veronica and see more of her lovely creations on her blog: http://www.kitsnbits.blogspot.com/

Veronica used the "Spectacle" stamp set for her lovely card and tag. Aren't these projects the sweetest?!

Next up is...

Ashley Hamm

My name is Ashley & I'm 28. I started scrapbooking when I was 16 years old after reading a Creating Keepsakes magazine. I've been so blessed to make some great friends & have exciting opportunities like this one with Sweet Stamp Shop. My real job is a registered nurse & when I'm not working or crafting, I like to read, jog, & plan vacations.

You can find out more about Ashley and her beautiful work on her blog: http://marklandandmain.blogspot.com/

Ashely used the "It's Raining" stamp set on these super sweet cards! We love them!
Thanks for stopping by today! We hope you enjoy your last day of November!

First up is one of our talented designers - Jamie!

Here's how she made it -

1. Place the dark blue ink on the Celebrations letterpress die and emboss a piece of cardstock.
 2. With a yellow ink, ink around the edges of the cardstock bringing the color into the blue stripes but not into the circle.
 3. On a separate piece of white cardstock, stamp the moon.
 4. On the same white cardstock, stamp the alien.
 5. Fussy cut the moon and use a dark grey colored pencil to shade.
 6. Use Gamsol and a blending stub to move the color around the moon.
 7. Remove the top adhesive on the Action Wobble
 8. Place the moon on top of the adhesive spring.
 9. Trim the adhesive around the moon for both the top and bottom areas of the spring as shown.
10. Stamp the rocket on to the card as shown.
11. Place the three solid stars on a clear block and stamp them randomly in the circle area using the same yellow colored ink as used above.
12. Your card should look similar to this.
13. Stamp the rocket on three different colors of paper.
14. Fussy cut the rocket pieces and adhere them on the rocket stamped on the card.
15. Use the Cool Gray Copic to add shading to the rocket piece and also trace around the circle on the card.
16. Add Glossy Accents to the rocket window and allow to dry.
17. Stamp the alien on the card overlapping the rocket as shown.
18. Stamp the alien on an orange patterned paper then fussy cut the body out and also fussy cut the white eyes from the image stamped in step #4.
19. Adhere the eyes on to the body of the alien then add shading with the Cool Gray Copic and make the teeth white with the White Gel pen.
20. Remove the top adhesive of the Action Wobble then attach the alien body.  Trim the Action Wobble so that it is hidden behind the alien body.
21. Adhere the alien and moon to the card as shown.
22. Using the Snapshot Fun die, punch out the banner piece in white cardstock.  Stamp the sentiment from the Out in Space stamp set on the banner in black ink.
23. Using the solid stars again, stamp over the sentiment randomly as shown.
24. Attach the piece to the front of a card then adhere the banner piece to the bottom left of the card with foam adhesive.

Isn't that great! You can visit Jamie on her blog - HERE

Next up is a CUTE card from Misty -

The camera has a little Action Wobble under it - WAY cute!

I love the scalloped edge on this card - I'm always a sucker for scallops!

Holiday gift giving

Happy Monday!!!
It's Stephanie here to share a couple gift giving ideas with you!!!

So this jar I found at the dollar store I love it when I find great products to decorate!!!
All I did was create a band from my favorite pattern paper adhered it around the jar added a fun label using dies.  The Holiday Sentiments set has been my favorite go to set for card making and for gifts!!!
Then just fill the jar with you favorite candy and you are done super quick and you are not breaking the bank buying teacher gifts!!!
I am sure alot of you have seen this fun packaging in blog land using a brown paper bag.
All you do is fold the bottom half of your bag up and stitch along the sides to form a pocket and then you go to town on decorating the bag so fun!!!

Dream by Jamie Cripps

Good Morning!  Jamie back with you today sharing a card that can be made to match any of your papers!

I love that the hexagons from the  Pattern Craze Stamp Set  line up so that you can use them as a background!  I used Distress Ink and lightly inked one of the hexagon stamps from the set and covered a 4x6 card front as shown below:

Just look at all the texture it brings to my card and the best part is, you can change the ink color to match any pattern paper you want to use!

Supplies:
Cardstock: White (The Paper Studio)
Patterned Paper: Lime Rickey 6x6 (Basic Grey)
Ink: Mowed Lawn Distress Ink by Tim Holtz (Ranger)
Stickers: Express Yourself #42019 Graduation (SRM Stickers)
Adhesive: Runner and Zapdots (Helmar)
Ribbon: May Arts
Embellishments: Dew Drops (The Robin's Nest)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Sweet Little Geek Chic Toilet Paper Roll Mini Album

Happy Thursday sweet friends!

It's Emily here today with another one of my bright, fun, mini albums to share!

I've been so inspired by all of the neon colors and prints sweeping the industry lately. It kind of takes me back to my childhood in the 80's.

I was in the store one day and I spotted these awesome neon acrylic paints. I HAD to have them! I knew that I would end up using them somewhere. Plus, they go hand in hand with my new neon inks that I just bought!

I ended up painting some empty toilet paper rolls with the neon green paint. The paint was really sheer at first, so I had to give it a few coats. You can't really tell from the photos, but the base of the album is actually neon green.

I think it's amazing to transform something as simple as an empty toilet paper roll into a beautiful mini album. Most people wouldn't even know that it was made from toilet paper rolls! I always add little pull out tags to my albums, another great thing about using tp rolls, you have the perfect spot to add the pull out tags!

Of coarse, I used one of my favorite new stamp sets... Geek Chic! When I decided to go with the neon theme, I KNEW I wanted to use the cute little girl wormie and color her neon green.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope I was able to inspire you with my very bright creation!

Sweet Guest Designer - Raven Baca

Hey Sweeties!

Today we have a special guest designer that most of you probably know from her fa-bu-lous work on her blog... she really needs no introduction because she's amazing.

Welcome...
I am married to the best man in the world! I craft, he watches sports perfect match. ;) We have four AMAZING children together. My step son (our oldest) is going to school now to be a civil rights lawyer; wish us luck. Second son is a Lego connoisseur, he can build anything he puts his mind too. With that said, at this point his mind is always on super heroes Avengers to be exact. Oldest daughter is a mini artist. She never takes her smock off which leads to very dirty carpets SIGH. I'm getting use to it. Youngest daughter is a fashion diva and accessory specialist. We had to start making jewelry at our house because she didn't like what they had at the stores. SHE IS 6. I know TROUBLE!!! I love them all so much and I craft for my sanity and for them. I love to see their faces when they receive something special that was made just for them to celebrate a birthday or holiday. I love to watch them peruse through the scrapbooks and ewe and awe and smile and laugh and make fun of each other. Normally they make fun of second son for liking Dora at one point. It's a sensitive subject around here these days lol. That's me I love crafting; I hear the Willie Wonka theme song when I walk into a craft store! My two favorite loves are PAPER and STAMPS. I hope you'll join me on my adventure.

Raven made this awesome layout to share today...

She used one of my fave sets, Dream Ocean.
Thanks for stopping by today! Don't forget to stop by Raven's blog and tell her we sent you over!

Deck the Halls

Nicole here!

Can you believe that Christmas is peeking around the corner?

I'll tell you a little secret - I don't make hand made Christmas cards.

Nope, every year my husband and I have been married (and the year we were engaged) I've sent out picture cards. It's been an awesome tradition and this year will make 6 picture cards - so I plan to have the first 6 framed. I hope to do this tradition year after year.

AND, wanna know the best part - I'm not making 50+ Christmas cards by hand. Fact is, I'd hate it. I'd make 3 or 4 and then - it would seem like this huge chore - and the cards would get increasingly sloppy as I 'just wanted to be done' --- and it's just not how I want to spend my crafty Christmas time. Ya know?

To be honest - it took me a lot of years to not have the 'home made' card guilt. I always worry that people think they didn't get something homemade from me because I don't love them. But, that's all in my own head - people are happy to get anything sent to them. Home made or not, it's the thought that counts!

I still make a couple Christmas cards - but, I usually box them up for my grandma to send out - that way she get's the joy of getting my home made cards AND she gets to send them off to her friends. Best of both worlds - dontcha think?

Here is a Christmas card I made with the 'Sweet Alpha Doodles' and the 'Holiday Sentiments' sets - I really like how it turned out!

What's your Christmas card tradition? Do you feel the home made guilt?

I say - deck those halls ... and craft what makes YOU feel good! The rest is gravy!

Happy Holiday Season!
