New Design Team!

We're so happy to be welcoming the sweet new 

design team this week! 

Today I'm pleased to be introducing you to 

TWO new sweet girls! 

Drum roll..... 

First up today is 

Misty Buck

A little about Misty - From Misty!

Hey there. Misty here. 

I think I must have been born with a creative heart. I need to be doing something with my hands at all the times or I don't feel like I'm accomplishing much. I have enjoyed scrapbooking and card making for the past 17 years but only really got into stamping about nine years ago!!! I earned my bachelor's degree in Architectural Design from the University of New Mexico. I now run my own small business from home and work at being a domestic goddess. I am married to my best friend and biggest supporter. We have four children (3 boys and a girl) who I am blessed to be able to stay at home with (thinking of maybe homeschooling, yikes!!).  I love gardening and canning homemade jam...oh did I forget to mention I LOVE to stamp ;). So happy to be a Sweet Tooth Girl!

Kim Schofield

Here is a little about Kim - from Kim! 

My name is Kim Schofield and I am a SAHM living in New England with my husband of 14 years and our two little boys.  I have always enjoyed crafting but it was about 12 years ago when I picked up my first rubber stamp and quickly fell in love with the art of stamping.  Besides being a Sweet Tooth Girl, I am also on the Sweet ‘n Sassy and PSA Essentials design teams and have previously been on the Say it With Letters, Tiffany Doodles, SALT Challenge blog, and Odd Bird Planet design teams.  I also enjoyed a two-year stint as a writer and designer for Scrapbook News & Review.  When I’m not designing, I teach stamping and technique classes at my local scrapbook store and have had my work has been regularly published in a variety of Northridge Publishing magazines.

Sweet DT announcements begin!

Hello All! 

Hope everyone is enjoying the Olympics - the weather - 

and the summer! We couldn't be happier with all the 

watermelon and poolside beverages - SWEEET life! 

We're so excited ( and a little sad ) to be announcing 

our new design team this week! Hip Hip Hooray!

A helping hand... A difference made...

Getting a little personal this afternoon... 

Maybe some of you know, but - in May my Papa passed away.

It's still surreal and as I sit in front of a mass of photos needing a home in a scrapbook... I think I'm just not ready to close that chapter in my life. 

You see, my grandparents had five children - and my Dad was the second oldest. So, when my brother and I were born my grandparents were in their 50's. So, as you can imagine, we were close. I spent many summers living with my grandparents - working at the local swimming pool - and camping away the summer sun. 

A couple years ago my grandfather was becoming quite forgetful and within a matter of months was wheel chair bound and in the full grip of the life stealer -Alzheimer's. 

It didn't take long for him to no longer recognize friends and family-and before we realized it... Alzheimers had taken my grandfather.The result, all to familiar to those whom suffer, was a six year battle that my grandfather lost this past May. The complete sadness for my family, my father, and myself could never be properly expressed. 

Alzheimers robbed my grandfather of memories from the past and robbed his family from memories yet to be. 

My father once said to me, in reflection of our loss, 

He deserved better - He deserved more 

With that in mind, my family and I are raising money for the Alzheimers Association for their annual 'walk' 

And, I'm asking for your help! 

Our goal is to raise $2,250.00
