Halloween Extravaganza~

Happy Halloween (almost!)

Is everyone dusting off last years costume planning for an
exciting party tonight? Or just putting the last couple
details on your kids costume for Monday? ...

Well, whatever you're doing I'm sure that your
getting in the Halloween spirit!

Talking about Halloween spirit... wait till I show
you what Savannah has come up with ... it's
going to blow your socks off!

Savannah rocked out the stamp set
'Halloween Owl-fits'

Savannah made a couple really
*stand out* projects...

I really like those celo bags!
And the bat with the twine
is perfect! What a unique
way to add a 'card' to
any gift!

Those Red Vines look yummy and
Vernie is totally the life of that card
wi the glitter and feather!

Check out this banner that Sav made for
the Ribbon Carousel... WOW, I *love* those
bats!! What's nice about the Halloween set
is that the bats and the spiders come in more
than one size... and I *really* like that when
I'm creating the details of a card.

And last but not least... check out these
Pixie Sticks that Sav made!! They would
be the most perfect gift ... and got
me looking around.... Did you know that
you can use lemonade drink powder mix
to make home-made pixie sticks!?!

What a brilliant idea!

Talk about a *great* activity for the kids...

Especially around Halloween!

Well, thanks for dropping by today!
Have a super weekend... and
if you can, say hi to us on facebook!

We *love* to see all your 'faces' and comments
on our wall!!

Halloween Hugs,
J&N

Comin' into Fall!

Here we are, fall is here...

Ahhh, I'm sure I'm not alone when I say

Fall is my *favorite* season!

Too bad we really don't have that season here
in Sunny San Diego. We're more of a
Summer - Winter - Summer climate. lol.

I have a fall wreath to share with you
made by me :)

Yep, every once in a while I make
some time to make a couple projects.

I wish I spend half the time I do on the computer..
crafting! Don't you wish that too!?!

Anyway, Let's get down to that wreath...

I've been in a wreath making frenzy around here
lately. I don't know why... it's a wreath year.

For Sure.

I love pom pom's!!! I know you can home-make them
but, I own a pom pom maker (actually, I own several sizes)
and it's the best 4 bucks I ever spent!

Of course, I had to break out my 'Thanksgiving Owl-fits'
set and add some fall sentiments... like Turkey and Pie!

I don't use my banner die near as much
as I want to... so I made a point to
grab it and use it... a wreath
is a great place for a banner ... don't you think?

Anyway! I hope that this was inspiring to
gather all that fall colored crafting stuff
and start crafting. This wreath would make a
*great* hostess gift! Easy, fast, and pretty cheap!

This whole wreath was under $5!

(Esp. b/c you probably have lots of the supplies already!)

Have a great *fast* Friday...
Stop by facebook and say hi...

Happy Crafting!

Big Hugs to Alison and some Birthday Love!

This last month we've been lucky to have

as our guest designer... she's done such a great job for us.

We loved all her creations and her unique way of
stamping.

Today is no exception!

Alison used the 'Sweet Tooth' set

And she put together this card!

I love the bright colors and how she cut out the
gumballs on the fan.... not to mention.. that fan is amazing!

Thank you so much Alison!

We *loved* having you and getting to know
your cheery personality! We hope your not a
stranger around the 'Sweet' shop!

Stop by Alison's blog and give her some love for
being our guest designer!

Next I would like to take a small
teeny tiny moment to wish
my most cherished and bestest friend
a very Happy Birthday!

Here is Melanie and I out with our husbands!

My best friend... and I don't
use that title lightly!...
Is such a special lady... she's
30 this year!
AND she's a new
'first time' Mommy!

So I couldn't give her just *anything*

First, it had to be hand made... b/c I'm
notorious for making amazing things
that I never give away... you all
know how that goes!

And the wrapping had to be spot on!

So here's a look at the box...

I used the 'Scootin By' set

Check out this box!

Here is a close up of the decorations...
Yep, there is felt and paper flowers in there!

You're probably wondering what's inside...
well, I was hoping to save that for another
post and include a little 'how to' ... with
some stamps! But, I thought I'd at least
let you peek at one of them...

I will be blogging about this and sharing
with you my tips...

I have made several at this point and I
can tell you I have the tricks to cut your
making time down from several hours
to 30-45 minutes!

Really!

Stay Tuned!

Ok, I think I've blogged enough for one day...

Hope everyone has a great day and
a some really good crafting time!

I'm off to Yoga this morning with the
birthday girl! (we're trying to be healthy
after our disastrous trip to Chevy's diner
last night... let's just say... *everything* was
fried... yummy-ness!)

Big Hugs,

Brrrr, it's coolin' off

Yep, even here in sunny So. Cali it's coolin' down.

Finally.

Whew, it was just a *little* too hot for a little too long!

But, I'm pleased to let you know that the sun is still hiding behind
some clouds/fog. Although it's still early in the am. :) I'm sure
it will burn off and warm up any minute now. lol.

Ready to see an inventive card by

She used the 'Tree Traditions' set

I really like all the different sizes of snow flake...

Look at a great way to use them:

I love it!

Is it cold where you are?

Take a moment to check out our

See you back here tomorrow with our last
guest designer spot for Oct.

Movie time Friday!

Happy Friday, again!

My oh my, how the time flies.

Last night I was laying (lying?... I should have paid
more attention in grammar class) Anyway... I was in
bed at 8-ish ready to watch my 2 favorite shows
of the week... and before I saw twenty minutes...
zzzzzzz.....zzzzzzzz.... fast asleep!

Ugh! Thank god for DVR!

We'll as you might understand, going to bed with an
'8' as the first number on the clock... usually spells..
waking up with a '4' as the first number on the clock.

Yep, here I am

4am.

Today we have something really genius to
share with you from 'Sweet Tooth Girl'

She decided to use the Watchin' TV set

*love* that set!

Here is what she came up with...

Absolutely perfect for Father's Day!

You know what I really like about giving you
ideas for future holidays... is that this time of
year is *perfect* for creating a few stacks of
a variety of cards for the holidays. They make for
the best quick gifts and people *love* getting a
stack of home-made cards! Trust me!

Recently I made some reusable sandwich bags
with the 'Watchin TV' set... you can
check it out here (with directions)

Also, I'd like to remind you that the Halloween Owl-fits set
is now $9 now through Halloween!

Get them while they last!

Have a great friday and an even better weekend.

Check back soon for more great inspiration and
lots of 'sweet' stuff!

Be sure to stop by our

Happy Weekend!

I Brake for Gnomes!

Hey there everyone...it's Julie Ranae here today!

I am in LoVe with the 'Gnomies' set
from Sweet Stamp Shop!
Yes indeed!

I spent my teenage years in one of
THE BEST decades...the 70's
and I am proud to say that I drove a little
mint-green Mercury Bobcat
(the cousin to the Ford Pinto)
with a bumper sticker that read...

'I Brake for Gnomes'!!!

So that's why I chose this fun set for this unique card.

I have to say I think he adds just the right touch!

I am also very proud to announce that Sweet Stamp Shop
is a most generous sponsor of another of my passions...

The Play Date Cafe is celebrating it's
2nd Anniversary
this week and there are multiple ways to win!

Sweet Stamp Shop is making it possible
for you to win one of these sets
just in time for your Halloween projects...

Just head on over to The Cafe and check out
the inspiration provided by the Design Team
and play along.

A BIG THANKS to Sweet Stamp Shop
and thank you all for stopping by today!

Spooky Tuesday!

Have you seen Melvin and Vernie dressed up?

Aren't they just so darn cute!!

We've been having *lots* of fun around
here with this set!

Recently I made a brooch with felt flowers and the bats

The back

it was *so* easy to make ... and *so*
customizable!

You might remember that this is what I
made for the make-n-take at the
event last weekend...

I have some directions on how to make the
felt flowers... if you're interested!

Here is a preview... check out our facebook
page for the readable version!

Then you remember the coffins right?

I *love* this set.... and maybe I'm totally bias...
but, I think Leigh Ann would agree...

Check out her card!

Another *super* cute coffin!

But, this time it's a card.... which
actually goes quite well with my coffin decor!

She used lots of the different elements in the set!

I love to see that... it shows how usable the set really is!

Way to go Leigh Ann!

Check out Leigh Ann in all her creative awesomeness...

Also, don't forget to check out

Have a fun and festive fall day!

With a touch a crafting!

Guest Designer Monday!

Hello All!

What a weekend... whew, we're glad it's Monday.

Over here at SSS we had quite the weekend
being a sponsor at a local Susan G. Komen event...

What a great success the event was... over
$60,000 was raised! A tribute to all the hard
work all those lovely ladies put into the event.
We were just glad to be there and share a make-n-take
and some stamps!

Anyway! We've been busy!

But, today I get to share with you a project from a good
friend and a amazing guest designer

I'm sure you recognize her from all her
design work... but, if you're new to this
lovely lady... check out her blog and prepare
to be amazed!

Here is a little something about Emily
in her own words..

Happy Monday everyone! I'm super excited to be the guest Designer today here at the Sweet Stamp Shop! I've been a fan from the beginning, I just love all of the fabulous designs and am so happy that Nicole has started this wonderful company!
Now a little about me... my name is Emily Lanham, and I reside in Southern Ohio with my childhood best friend who doubles as my husband, Brandon, and my ALMOST 4 year old daughter Reagan (she keeps reminding me that she's ALMOST 4 hehe). I've been scrapping for as long as I can remember, but I really made it a hobby about 6 years ago. I slowly became a collector of all things scrapbooking (especially paper and stamps!). I rarely scrap my own layouts, but I do enjoy making cards and mini albums for others (and some of those for myself on occasion!). Just recently I got into trying new stamping techniques, which you will see one in my project today... distress stains! I hope my project today will inspire you to try out new stamping techniques (and also to pick up the Thanksgiving Owlfits set, it's a must have!) If you want to stop by and visit me, please check out my blog

She created something amazing
with our *new* stamp set

Thanksgiving Owl-fits

Ready to see what she made??

Isn't that tag something else?

She used lots of distress ink and glitter...
Can you get much better than that?

Check back in tomorrow for some updates
from our exciting weekend... with photos!

Happy Crafting,
Jacob and Nicole Rixon
